A Brief Story
A few weeks ago I was sitting with friends in between racquetball games when we heard the shocking sound of someone falling down the stairs.
We ran over to see a man in his late 60’s moaning on the floor. A doctor was right there and immediately went to work comforting the fallen man, telling him to breathe slowly and that things would be fine.
We dialed 911 and the emergency squad came and took the man to hospital. He had broken ribs, a broken clavicle and abrasions. They told him at the hospital if the doctor hadn’t been there he could easily have passed out and been in serious trouble.
Just a few days ago the man came back to the gym where we play, sought out the doctor and praised him for saving his life.
The doctor smiled. Even a doctor likes to know they help people and do valuable work.
Your donors who support your Mission like to hear that too! They want to know their gifts relieve suffering and give people hope. They love to know they are part of the Godly work to save people from misery and help them find joy.
You probably bless people more than you know. Your donors probably also bless people more than they know.
Now that’s a message worth telling.
